“We came to Goresbridge sales with an open mind in 2012 but with tremendous interest. Although we are known more for showing horses we have always been interested in all disciplines and wanted to attend the sale. Although the weather was awful, we sat watching all these talented horses doing the cross country section not noticing the slicing rain. All the horses performed well under the conditions and we were most impressed with these young horses ability. We went to the auction in the evening which was a dinner, and champagne reception. We met up with so many friends and the evening was very enjoyable and attended by a huge crowd. We got into the mood….! and bought the lovely horse Gortglass Rinarinca. A talented youngster that we felt was good enough for our show ring in England. He has had the most amazing season with us in his novice year as a Light weight hunter, we haven’t put him in any jumping classes yet as we felt we can do that another year. All the horses we saw there had great ability and we could have filled a horse box up. We hope to return this year , even if not purchasing it is a great sale to attend, watch young horses giving their all and hopefully can follow their progress in the Eventing, s/jumping , dressage and showing disciples. The whole team that run the sale are friendly and helpful, a great venue and a sale to put in your diary.”
